Analysing Battery Efficiency: Samsung Galaxy S24 vs. Samsung Galaxy S23 Smartphone Comparison From the battery performance results gained, we can compare the battery consumption of the Samsung Galaxy S24 against the Samsung Galaxy S23 for various tasks. Here are a few highlights taken from the chart below: The Samsung Galaxy S24 may not be as efficient as its older version, the Samsung Galaxy S23, for frequent social media browsing as it consumes more battery. This could concern users using platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Additionally, making long phone calls or sending MMS messages could be problematic. In addition, gaming on the Samsung Galaxy S24 may consume more battery due to better performance or higher display refresh rates, which could enhance the gaming experience while reducing battery life. Downloading and uploading tasks can drain a phone's battery quickly. However, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is designed to be more battery-efficient for such tasks, which is a positive point for users who frequently download apps or content. Additionally, the phone's battery management is much better for media playback, such as listening to music or watching videos, making it an ideal choice for those who use their phone for these activities. The camera operations consume more battery, but it might be acceptable for photography enthusiasts. Finally, web browsing consumes more battery on the Samsung Galaxy S24, which may affect users who browse their phones extensively. Battery Consumption Results provided by viSer by SmartViser. In summary, the Samsung Galaxy S24 consumes more battery power than the Samsung Galaxy S23 during most tasks, which could disadvantage users who need their phone for long periods. However, the Samsung Galaxy S24 has shown improvement in some areas, such as email and media playback, which could benefit users who prioritise these functions. Suppose the increased battery consumption is due to better performance or additional features such as a higher refresh rate display, improved processing power, or advanced camera features. In that case, some smartphone users might find it acceptable to trade off battery life. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S24 may require more frequent charging for heavy users, but it also provides better efficiencies in certain tasks that can be crucial for specific users. Analysing Battery Efficiency: Samsung Galaxy S24 vs. Google Pixel 8 Smartphone Comparison The Samsung Galaxy S24 is highly efficient with email tasks, which could be particularly appealing to business users who rely on email communication. This device shows better battery efficiency for media playback than the Google Pixel 8, making it an attractive option for those who use their phones for music and video playback. While SMS usage is declining due to messaging apps, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is still more efficient for SMS messaging than the Google Pixel 8. Finally, regarding web browsing, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Google Pixel 8 have comparable battery consumption, with the Google Pixel 8 being slightly less efficient. Battery Consumption Results provided by viSer by SmartViser. The Samsung Galaxy S24 has a battery that lasts a good amount of time and is efficient for communication-related tasks like email and SMS. However, it uses more battery when using the camera or social media apps. But, it could make up for it with better performance or features in those areas. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 8 tends to use more battery overall, which could be a concern for those who use their phone frequently. However, it does have an advantage in battery usage for MMS and YouTube streaming. In summary, if you prioritise long battery life for communication tasks and media playback, then the Samsung Galaxy S24 could be your better choice. This suggests an optimisation that does not sacrifice playtime for performance, which is critical for the gaming community. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S24's proficiency in handling voice calls could resonate well with users who value clear and stable communication. While the Samsung Galaxy S24 does draw more power for camera use, this could signal that it has maintained its sturdy and adaptable imaging capabilities that photo enthusiasts may find well worth the trade-off. It supports Dolby Vision and the new Dimensity 1080 chipset is slightly improved from last year's Dimensity 920, providing adequate power for gaming. The camera 50MP set-up is high-quality, matching that of other more expensive flagship devices, which is excellent. The older Android 12 operating system is also a bit disappointing. Still, despite this, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has many features and specifications at an affordable price, matching the competition of other big brands in the Mid Tier. Also of Interest: Top Ten Best Performing Smartphone Battery Life How long will the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE battery last? A smartphone's performance and battery life determine its reliability and user satisfaction. The battery performance lasts 1 day, or 32 hours, for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. How does the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE compare to smartphones? Now we take a closer look into the battery performance of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung Galaxy S23 and the Samsung Galaxy A54. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE has a 4,500mAh battery, supporting 25W wired charging and wireless and reserve charging. While the battery capacity remains consistent with the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, the upgraded internals ensure optimised power efficiency. Our goal is to provide you with detailed and comprehensive reviews of smartphones. In this regard, we have prepared a chart that offers an in-depth analysis of battery consumption for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. By examining the chart below, you can understand how the battery performs during various user activities. It's worth noting that activities that consume the highest mAh current tend to drain the battery faster. For instance, Social Media and Outgoing Calls for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE are among the activities that can drain the battery more quickly. In the chart, you can find the average battery consumption of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE smartphone. This average is calculated from our extensive database of smartphone test results. To compare the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE battery performance, only smartphones from the same High Tier (€500-€699) have been selected for the average shown in the chart. The test results show that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE performs better than similar smartphones in most user activities. However, its camera usage and web browsing performance fall below the average due to some of the features and specifications being scaled down as an FE version of the Samsung S23 smartphone. Battery Consumption Results provided by viSer by SmartViser. The Samsung Galaxy S23 is a Flagship/Pro priced over €700. In contrast, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE belongs to the High Tier category and has a price range of €500-€699. This smartphone, being a Fan Edition (FE) brand of smartphone, is more budget-friendly, achieved through some reduction in features to keep the price lower. Both phones have impressive battery life, with the Samsung Galaxy S23 lasting up to 36 hours on a single charge, while the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE lasts slightly less, than 32 hours. These figures are expected, as these top-tier smartphones use more powerful chipsets and screens, which come at the cost of battery life. The Samsung Galaxy S23 boasts impressive battery performance despite its smaller battery capacity of 3900 mAh. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, it is less affected by Social Media and Outgoing Calls and performs well in all user activities except MMS, which causes a slightly higher battery drain. However, this difference is unlikely to be noticeable. Battery Consumption Results provided by viSer by SmartViser. Now, if we bring in the Samsung Galaxy A54, a Mid Tier (€200-€499) smartphone, how does it compare with the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE? The Samsung Galaxy A54 has the largest battery capacity of 5000 mAh, which gives it an impressive battery life of up to 1.5 days. It can last up to 39 hours without needing to be charged, 3 more hours than the Samsung Galaxy S23. Battery Consumption Results provided by viSer by SmartViser. As shown in the chart above, the Samsung Galaxy A54 consumes less battery across various user activities when compared to the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. Therefore, if you're looking for a smartphone with a long battery life, it's recommended to prioritise battery capacity over other features and specifications. We have successfully integrated all three Samsung Galaxy smartphones using VWS Analytics Studio. This platform allows us to monitor and view real-time viSer test results. As a result, we now deeply understand data analytics for the Samsung Galaxy series. We can see dynamic data visualisations from smartphones classified into three tiers based on price. When comparing the battery performance of three Samsung Galaxy smartphones, it is apparent that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE consumes more battery power than the other two smartphones in most user activities. The Samsung Galaxy A54 also consumes a significant amount of battery power, especially during Social Media usage and for Outgoing Calls, with a similar pattern to the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. Battery Consumption Results provided by viSer by SmartViser. Interestingly, the power consumption during gaming is almost the same for the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy A54, despite the former being in the Flagship Tier (€700+) and the latter in the lower Mid Tier (€200-€499). Another observation is that the Samsung Galaxy A54 uses less battery power than the other two Samsung smartphones during camera usage despite having lower specifications and functionality. However, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is more affordable than the associated Flagship device. However, there is some scaling back on features and specifications to achieve a lower price. The chart displays the average battery consumption for various user activities based on all smartphone test results. This visually compares the average battery consumption across different user activities. It's interesting to note how the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE stacks up against other Samsung Galaxy models and the overall user activity average. Upon closer examination of camera usage, it was found that all three smartphones consumed less battery power than the average. It is important to note that the average included all smartphones tested, including those with advanced camera features and better functionality, such as the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus and S23 Ultra, which may have contributed to the higher average battery consumption. Extra Insight The chart below shows the battery life in hours of each Samsung Galaxy comparative smartphone from a full charge. Also, the average battery life has been calculated from the testing results of smartphones gathered in each tier. These are shown in the chart as a benchmark for the device per tier but also revealed as the comparison per tier. Smartphone users have, on average, 10 extra hours of usage if they choose a device from the lower tiers Mid and Entry. Battery Consumption Results provided by viSer by SmartViser. VERDICT: What is it like to Use? The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE has a similar design to Samsung's flagship phones, with vertically stacked cameras that blend in with the phone's body. The smartphone comes in four bright colours - mint, purple, cream, and graphite- which is different from the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which has more subdued colour options. It is noticeable that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE camera lens protrudes more from the back of the device, therefore it adopts a similar design to that of the Samsung Galaxy A54. Being taller and wider, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE has a larger 6.4-inch display when compared to theSamsung Galaxy S23, with a compact display of 6.1 inches. However, this also makes the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE a little more difficult to hold, especially when heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S23. The Galaxy S23 FE features a 2340 x 1080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In adaptive mode, the screen increases to 120Hz to ensure smooth transitions. This differs from the variable 48Hz to 120Hz rate of the Samsung Galaxy S23, but it is unlikely to be noticed by Galaxy S23 FE users. With a charging speed of 25W, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is not the fastest smartphone. However, it does support wireless charging. Running on Samsung's One UI on top of Android 13, the interface remains familiar to users of Samsung Galaxy devices. The phone will receive updates to Android 14 later this year, as part of Samsung's policy of providing up to four Android OS updates to its phones. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE has a main camera, an ultrawide shooter, and a telephoto lens. The main camera and ultrawide lens have 50MP and 12MP, respectively, but the telephoto lens of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is an 8MP sensor, while the Samsung Galaxy S23 has a 10MP telephoto lens. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE can capture 8K video, a feature typically found on more expensive phones. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE boasts impressive performance and graphics. What's in the box? Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Smartphone Charger USB-C-to-C cable SIM eject tool Should I buy the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE? The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE offers a compelling package with its refined design, captivating display, and robust performance. • Xiaomi Redmi 12C - Smartphone Battery Performance

SMARTPHONE TIER: ENTRY Battery Capacity mAh: 5000 Xiaomi Redmi 12C - A Closer Look At How This Smartphone is Taking on its Rivals! Smartphone Battery Performance Score: 39/100 Overall Battery Performance Ranking: #104 Based on Price Entry Tier Ranking: #11 All you need to know about the Xiaomi Redmi 12C smartphone. Quick Summary The Xiaomi Redmi 12C is an affordable entry-level smartphone tailored for those on a tight budget. It offers competitive value, unique design, commendable battery life, and decent camera performance under good lighting. However, its HD+ resolution, the presence of an outdated micro USB port, and a standard 60Hz refresh rate are limitations that prospective buyers should be aware of. Xiaomi Redmi 12C Overview What is it like to Use? The Xiaomi Redmi 12C offers a satisfactory experience for daily use. With a MediaTek Helio G85 processor and up to 6GB RAM, it can handle standard tasks smoothly. The unique textured stripe pattern on the back of the phone adds an appealing aesthetic touch, although the plastic build may not be as durable as some would prefer. The placement of the fingerprint sensor within the camera module on the back is a peculiar design choice that may not be convenient for everyone. While the textured stripe pattern on the plastic back provides a unique look, the Xiaomi Redmi 12C may not be as durable as some would prefer. Additionally, the phone's use of an old-school micro USB port is puzzling, given the industry's shift towards USB-C. Nonetheless, including a 3.5mm headphone jack is a plus for those who prefer wired headphones. How does it Perform? The Xiaomi Redmi 12C is a reasonably competent phone in terms of performance, considering its price range. It can handle everyday tasks quite well, thanks to the MediaTek Helio G85 chip. For casual gaming, it is adequate, but it is not recommended for high-end gaming. One of its strengths is its 5,000mAh battery, which promises long battery life. The smartphone runs on MIUI 13, based on Android 12, providing a software experience that Xiaomi users have come to expect. However, the Xiaomi Redmi 12C's 6.71-inch IPS LCD display might not impress everyone. The HD+ resolution may not provide the sharpest visuals, and the standard 60Hz refresh rate may not be as smooth as higher refresh rates in other devices. Considering its price point, the Xiaomi Redmi 12C's value proposition lies in its performance capabilities. The phone has commendable features like solid battery life and decent camera performance in well-lit conditions. However, it might not be attractive to potential buyers due to drawbacks like the HD+ display and micro USB port. What's in the box? All smartphones are thoroughly tested and verified by SmartViser. TOP TEN SMARTPHONE BATTERY LIFE Find out more Power Efficiency What is the Battery Efficiency of the Xiaomi Redmi 12C? How does the Xiaomi Redmi 12C compare to other Entry Tier smartphones? Battery life is essential when choosing a smartphone, but it's not the only one. Battery efficiency is equally crucial because it determines how well it utilises its capacity. To compare the efficiency metrics of OPPO A16, Xiaomi Redmi A2, and Xiaomi Redmi 12C, we must analyse how effectively they use their battery capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi 12C has a commendable battery life, but its battery efficiency rating is only 1 out of 5. This indicates that there is a consistent pattern among these smartphones in terms of battery utilisation versus capacity. Xiaomi's MIUI is well-known for its feature-rich environment but may sometimes engage in power-intensive operations. This dynamic might lead to the smartphone not utilising its battery optimally, reflected in its low-efficiency score. Battery efficiency remains a cornerstone of the user experience. While the Xiaomi Redmi A2 shows a hint of progress, there's significant room for improvement. This outcome shows the importance of longevity and how efficiently a smartphone uses its energy resources. This page provides a comprehensive comparison of battery efficiency tests we've conducted. More smartphone Battery Efficiency ratings in the Smartphone Ranking Table. Annual Energy Consumption How much energy does the Xiaomi Redmi 12C use? How does the Xiaomi Redmi 12C compare to other Entry Tier smartphones? Understanding a smartphone's annual energy consumption has become more than just a metric; it reflects a brand's commitment to sustainability and efficiency. With that perspective, we've analysed the annual energy consumption of three smartphones: the OPPO A16, the Xiaomi Redmi A2, and the Xiaomi Redmi 12C. The annual energy consumption of the Xiaomi Redmi A12C is 3.3kWh per annum. This showcases that Xiaomi's blend of performance, features, and energy considerations results in a consumption pattern similar to that of its peers. With MIUI being a major USP for Xiaomi, it's crucial to note its influence on energy consumption. While the interface is user-centric and feature-loaded, Xiaomi seems to have prevented it from being overly power-hungry, as reflected in its annual energy consumption. The annual energy consumption figures reveal the intricate balance between device capabilities, user experience, and ecological responsibility. The Xiaomi Redmi A2 shines with the most minor consumption, but the industry needs a collective stride to lower these figures further. More Annual Energy Consumption ratings are in the Smartphone Ranking Table. VERDICT: Should I buy the Xiaomi Redmi 12C? The Xiaomi Redmi 12C is a highly affordable smartphone. However, this affordability has some trade-offs, especially in performance and camera capabilities. While it's suitable for basic daily tasks, it may not meet the expectations of users looking for a more powerful or feature-rich smartphone. It has a compact, lightweight design, decent display quality, and a long-lasting battery. If you're looking for a no-frills, low-cost smartphone for basic tasks, the Xiaomi Redmi 12C could be worth considering, but it's not a smartphone that will impress with cutting-edge features or high-end performance. Xiaomi Redmi A2 is an affordable smartphone that balances power and affordability with a score of 44/100. It has a compact design, a long-lasting battery, and a MediaTek Helio G36 octa-core processor that is perfect for basic tasks. With a battery life of up to 2 days or 54 hours, it surpasses its competitors in terms of battery life. Xiaomi is working towards improving battery life by optimizing MIUI's software. The Xiaomi Redmi A2 is energy-efficient, using only 3.0kWh per year, making it eco-friendly. The OPPO A16 scores only 39 out of 100, similar to the Xiaomi Redmi 12C. However, OPPO is known for its innovative strides in rapid charging, emphasizing endurance and quick battery improvements. The ColorOS-powered OPPO A16 efficiently manages apps and background tasks, ensuring the device's battery performance is resilient. With a score that matches the top contenders, the OPPO A16 highlights its dedication to pushing the boundaries of battery optimisation. Lasting well over 2 days, the OPPO A16 has a battery efficiency rating of only 1 out of 5. This indicates that the smartphone may not use its battery capacity as efficiently as expected. • Google Pixel 6 - Smartphone Battery Performance

SMARTPHONE TIER: HIGH Battery Capacity mAh: 4600 The Google Pixel 6 Delivers Amazing Photos and Great Battery Performance We have listed what you need to know about the Google Pixel 6. Smartphone Battery Performance Chart: Ranking #73 High Tier Ranking Table: Ranking #14 Google Pixel 6, looking at the features as well as the battery performance. Our test results have been translated into ViserMark Labels designed to help you make an informed decision. Latest Smartphone Battery Performance Statistics Battery Performance Testing and Review - December 2021 Review The Google Pixel 6 ranks average compared to other smartphones with a Battery Performance Score of 42/100. Both the Samsung A52 5G and the Samsung S20 Ultra have the same score in the ViserMark Smartphone Ranking 2021 table. Also, this smartphone is ranked #14 in the High Tier Ranking table still unable to achieve more than its processor, being the Google Pixel 5 scoring 51/100 earlier in 2021. During testing, we can calculate both the power and efficiency of a smartphone. The Google Pixel 6 had a modest score in the Power Efficiency table within the High Tier with a score of 1/5 and was once again unable to compete with its processor the Google Pixel 5. Product The Google Pixel 6 comes as the updated version of the Google Pixel 5, with claims that the Google Pixel 6 is the most significant upgrade Google has made. It is ergonomic in design, simplistic and available in three vibrant colours. The Google Pixel 6 has an easy-to-recognise rear camera in the shape of a rectangle that runs across the width of the smartphone. It has bigger sensors to capture more colour, and detail and 150% more light than its processor the Google Pixel 5. Google has introduced its very own chip, the Google Tensor. This allows for intelligent machine learning, such as translating messages and videos more securely and quickly on the phone than constantly connecting with the internet. Also, this smartphone is fitted with a new Titan M2™ security chip. The Google Pixel 6 has two rear cameras: the main camera with a wide-angle lens and a second camera with an ultrawide-angle lens. With a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, the display is good although the Google Pixel 6 Pro could be considered better. It is also covered with Gorilla Glass Victus and is within the High Tier costing between 649 - 899 EURO. Product Features and Specification Release Date October 2021 Battery Performance The Google Pixel 6 has a 4614mAh battery capacity, slightly smaller than the 5003mAh of the Google Pixel 6 Pro. The Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are the first smartphones to be released equipped with Android 12, the new Google interface. Introduction With an average price, of just over 700 EURO, the Google Pixel 6 is classed as a High Tier smartphone and although not having some of the desired features of the Flagship/Pro smartphones it can still compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 on performance. The price/quality ratio is quite reasonable for a good phone at a reasonable price. Let’s have a look at the review by ViserMark based on the results during testing. In our testing, Google Pixel 6 achieved the following test results: Battery Performance Score – 42 out of 100 The overall Battery Performance Score is now a global score taking calculations from Battery Life, Power Efficiency and Charging Times. Based on the battery performance testing results, this smartphone received a ViserMark score of 42/100. With this score, the Google Pixel 6 smartphone, is ranked #73 on the ViserMark Smartphone Ranking 2021 table. BATTERY LIFE - Days of Use Based on the ViserMark test protocol, The Google Pixel 6 achieved a score of 1.5 days. The Average Day of Use ViserMark score of a High Tier smartphone is “1.7” Day of Use which places the Google Pixel 6 slightly below the average top of the Days of Usage Top 10 table. The best phones have a lifespan of 4 days. The Google Pixel 6 has a similar lifespan to Samsung S21 or the OnePlus 9. This smartphone is ranked #17 on the Day of Usage Table. CHARGING TIME – Hours and Minutes CHARGING TIME - Hours and Minutes The charging time to 100% was 1 hour 47 minutes. Fast charging is available. The average Charging Time is 1:10 for a Smartphone within the ViserMark High Tier. Given its results, the Google Pixel 6 finds itself at the bottom of the ranking. Fast charging is adopted by Google but this smartphone is fully charged in 1h 47 minutes. This is the same as the Samsung M51. POWER EFFICIENCY – 5 Leaf Rating There are several power-efficient processors, within today's smartphones, that can cope with the growing number of new applications and can support high-resolution displays without compromising battery life. Power Efficiency is calculated using Battery Life and Battery Capacity. This is expressed in “Leaves" and reflects a rating between 1 being the least and 5 being the most power-efficient. The Google Pixel 6 obtained an overall Power Efficiency Score of 1. The average score for a High Tier smartphone is 1.2, meaning the Google Pixel 6 stands in the low part of the power efficiency ViserMark ranking table. Conclusion In conclusion, the Google Pixel 6 battery performance is lower when compared to other smartphones. This is also reflected within several of the ranking tables. Compared with other High Tier smartphones, the Google Pixel 6 battery performance is inferior to smartphones like the Wiko View 5, the Apple iPhone13 or the Realme 7i. However, the weak point is the charging time of the smartphone. To climb to the top position of the ViserMark ranking table, several changes are necessary. However, this is the first phone model made by Google. The next ones will be able to amaze us! Should I buy it? The smartphone offers many innovations and improvements for the price, as well as advances in photography. If your smartphone battery life is one of your main considerations when choosing a new one, then perhaps the Google Pixel 6 is not going to be in your selection. • Samsung Galaxy A54 - Smartphone Battery Performance

SMARTPHONE TIER: MID Battery Capacity mAh: 5000 The Samsung Galaxy A54 - A Reliable Smartphone at an Affordable Price Smartphone Battery Performance Overall Score: 42//100 Overall Battery Performance Score: Ranking #84 Mid Tier Ranking: #16 BUY NOW 128GB 6GB RAM£ 449.00€ 525.51 128GB 8GB RAM£ 256.85€ 309.00 256GB 8GB RAM£ 318.00€ 327.79 All you need to know about the Samsung A54 smartphone. Overview Samsung released two smartphones in March 2023 as part of the Galaxy series with all the usual functionality expected from smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy A54 has been upgraded from the previous Samsung Galaxy A53. It is more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy A34, yet both have benefited from an improved design taken from the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy A54 is a well-positioned contender in the Mid Tier of smartphones priced between €200-€499. Although it looks like a Flagship/Pro device and is similar to the Samsung S23 device, it delivers key smartphone features that users expect for daily tasks at an affordable price, the same price as Samsung charged for the Samsung Galaxy A53. The Samsung Galaxy A54 is available in black, white, lime green and violet versions. The display of the Samsung Galaxy A54 smartphone has been reduced. It is now smaller, being 6.4 inches, not that a 1-inch reduction would be noticed from the Samsung Galaxy A53. With an AMOLED display and a 1,080 x 2,340px resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A54 still has a 120Hz refresh rate, like the Samsung Galaxy A34. Also, it promotes durability with Gorilla Glass 5 display protection and IP67 rated for water and dust resistance. What's it like to Use? Being powered by the new and slightly more powerful Exynos 1380 chipset, the Samsung Galaxy A54 brings performance improvements compared to its predecessor. Samsung claims it provides a 20% boost in CPU and a 26% boost in GPU, therefore more than adequate power for daily usage and general apps. The Samsung Galaxy A54 has a triple camera setup, the main camera with a 50-megapixel sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. Improvements have resulted in sharper images, and the Night Mode feature is welcomed. Also, there is no telephoto camera, as Samsung has decided to allocate this feature for Flagship/Pro smartphones. Three storage configurations are available for the Samsung Galaxy A54: 128GB storage with 6GB of RAM, 128HB storage with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB storage with 8GB of RAM, and more storage can be added if required via a MicroSD card. How does it perform? The Samsung Galaxy A54 has the latest One UI 5.1 and is shipped with Android 13. This smartphone can cope with any day-to-day tasks, provides an all-around performance, and offers the end user a smooth and responsive experience. With a regular 5,000mAh battery capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A54 performed well in our smartphone battery performance testing. The battery lasts up to 1.5 days or up to 39 hours, which is adequate for handling many of the expected daily tasks. The Samsung Galaxy A54 has no charger in the box when shipped, as part of Samsung's efforts to reduce waste from consumer electronic devices. It has 25W charging, although not fast charging; it's what's expected from a Mid Tier smartphone, as is the absence of a headphone jack. What's in the box? Mobile Phone USB-Type-C (compatible with Samsung's 25W fast charging) No charger included A Quick Summary The Samsung Galaxy A54 offers excellent value for money for a smartphone in the Mid Tier. It has a tempting premium design and is a well-built smartphone with all the features and functionality you would expect. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A54 delivers good performance in all key areas yet will struggle to compete with High Tier and Flagship/Pro Tiers, yet still provide a reliable smartphone at an affordable price. Product - Good Points The Samsung Galaxy A54 has the following features: Good battery life Good 120Hz refresh display Better performance with a newer chipset Excellent camera set-up IP67 rated for water resistance Long-term OS and security updates Offers good value for money Product - Be Aware of Points The Samsung Galaxy A54 lacks in performance in the following ways: Not a good fingerprint reader Lacking power for extensive gaming Shipped with no charger Charging is slow Smartphone Battery Performance Score and Battery Performance Results ViserMark brings you a Smartphone Performance Score based on different criteria and benchmarks for evaluating a smartphone's performance. Smartphone Battery Performance Overall Score: Using repeatable and rigorous testing criteria, ViserMark measures battery performance using real-life scenarios and live networks. The test results are collated with calculations from smartphone Battery Life and Power Efficiency results that total a score between 0 and 100. This is the number displayed on the Battery Performance ViserMark Label shown below. After testing, the Samsung Galaxy A54 scored 42 out of 100 as a smartphone Battery Performance score. Being classified as a ViserMark Mid Tier (€200-€499) smartphone, we can see other comparable devices with similar Battery Performance Scores within this tier, as shown below. Compared to other smartphones within the Mid Tier, the Samsung Galaxy A54 faces different performance ratings and prices from the competition. For example, some Mid Tier devices are older and have significantly been reduced in price and, when competing with Samsung Galaxy A54, can have much more impact. When looking at the smartphone Battery Performance scores in the Mid Tier, the OPPO A78 was released simultaneously; the Samsung Galaxy A34 was recently tested in our labs, and the battery performance was comparable with the Samsung Galaxy A54. In 2023, the Mid Tier smartphones tested currently show Battery Performance scores ranging from 35/100 to 42/10 - the Samsung Galaxy A54 joins them. Let us discover if our battery performance testing results can show more key improvements. Other smartphone Battery Performance Scores can be viewed as ViserMark Labels in the Smartphone Ranking Table. Battery Life Smartphone battery life performance can vary significantly depending on several factors, including device hardware, software optimisation, battery capacity, usage patterns, and individual settings. When contemplating smartphone battery life, focus on these areas: The battery capacity, usually measured in milliampere-hours (mAh), determines how much charge a battery can store. The Battery Life ViserMark Label displays the "Days-of-Use" in both actual days and provides accurate information in hours. It reflects the usage of a smartphone from a full charge. How long will the Samsung Galaxy A54 battery last? ViserMark understands that this is a key factor when considering any smartphone, and we are pleased to announce that the Samsung Galaxy A54 delivered well on battery performance -with a spectacular 1.5 days of use, translating into 39 hours between charges. The Samsung Galaxy A54 has a battery capacity of 5000mAh. Offering a good performance, it provides 1.5 days of daily usage. However, it falls behind the OPPO A78 and the Samsung Galaxy A34 in the Mid Tier, as displayed in the chart below. With the introduction of hours added to the ViserMark Battery Life Label, it is even easier to see just how competitive the smartphones are regarding battery life performance. As you can see, two comparable smartphones last up to 2 days, just like most other smartphones in the Mid Tier providing adequate daily usage. With both smartphones having a 5,000mAh battery capacity, the OPPO A78 offers up to 53 hours in our battery performance testing, giving 2 days of good battery life on a single charge using the battery efficiency of the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip. A MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset powers the Samsung Galaxy A34. This chipset was released at the end of 2022 and can still deliver 2 days of battery life and offer fast performance, efficient battery usage and good gaming performance. The Samsung Galaxy A54 has an Exynos 1380 chipset with a 5,000mAh battery capacity. With its power-efficient chip, smaller display, and adaptive refresh rate, it was anticipated to offer better battery life. However, upon comparison, it falls short of expectations, providing almost 10 hours less battery life than the Samsung Galaxy A34. Both handsets perform well during day-to-day use despite using different chipsets. The Samsung Galaxy A54 has a 6.4-inch display, and the Samsung Galaxy A34 has a bigger 6.6” display, providing a better user experience for streaming box sets and gaming. It is worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy M51, released in 2020, still holds the top spot for having one of the longest-lasting smartphone batteries in the Mid Tier, with a smartphone Battery Life of an impressive 3.5 days of use or translated into hours an incredible 82 hours. Other smartphone Battery Life results can be viewed as ViserMark Labels in the Smartphone Ranking Table. Power Efficiency Smartphone Power Efficiency is crucial for smartphone users as it directly impacts battery life and overall device usage. It refers to the ability of a smartphone to maximise its performance while minimising power consumption. Calculated using Battery Life and Battery Capacity and expressed in "Leaves", it reflects a rating between 1 being the least and 5 being the most power efficient. How power efficient is the Samsung Galaxy A54? The Samsung Galaxy A54 was awarded 1 out of 5 as a smartphone battery efficiency score, the same as the Samsung Galaxy A34. OPPO is known for maximising the battery life of its devices, and the OPPO A78 has features like Super Power Saving mode and Super Night-time Standby mode that help to prolong battery life further. Also, the OPPO A78 supports 33w SuperVOOC charging, so with fast charging speed and efficient battery life, it is unsurprising that the OPPO A78 has a higher power efficiency rating than Samsung devices, as shown in the chart below. All smartphone chipsets are designed to deliver high performance while consuming minimal power to optimise system resources for improved efficiency. Manufacturers are continuously making minor improvements to balance smartphone performance and energy efficiency. These include the management of background processes and improved app organisation, which enhance resource allocation so power consumption can be minimised. Other smartphone Battery Efficiency results can be viewed as ViserMark Labels in the Smartphone Ranking Table. Annual Energy Consumption ViserMark is pleased to offer a new label providing a smartphone's Annual Energy Consumption. The calculation is typically based on several factors, including the smartphone model, battery capacity, usage patterns, and charging habits. Although challenging, specific testing criteria are measured using real-life scenarios and live networks to reflect usage accurately. How much energy does the Samsung Galaxy A54 use? The ViserMark calculations show the Samsung Galaxy A54 would use 4.16 kWh per Annum. The chart shows that the Samsung Galaxy A34 is the smartphone with the lowest Annual Energy Consumption, closely followed by the OPPO A78 and Samsung Galaxy A54. All devices have the same battery capacity of 5,000mAh, although the OPPO A78 has 33W wired charging, and the Samsung smartphones have a reduced 25W wired charging capability. Daily activities greatly influence energy consumption. For instance, frequent use of power-intensive apps, heavy gaming, or prolonged video streaming can drain the battery faster, resulting in higher energy consumption. Conversely, conservative usage and enabling power-saving features can reduce energy consumption. ViserMark's battery performance testing protocol ensures end-users can see an objective benchmark across all smartphones' expected annual electricity consumption. Other smartphones' Annual Energy Consumption results can be viewed as ViserMark Labels in the Smartphone Ranking Table. Should I buy it? The Samsung Galaxy A54 is a reliable, robust and affordable smartphone that resembles the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. It has an AMOLED display, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, fast charging support and the latest version of the operating system. Samsung offers long-term Upgrades and Security Support. The Samsung Galaxy A54 has 4 years of major operating system updates and 5 years of security patches. This provides additional value for money as it assures device longevity and usability. The performance is adequate, the battery life is good, and the camera setup is fine, with good and sharp images. This Samsung Galaxy A54 smartphone competes well in the Mid Tier, although it may not be for you if you want the best performance. Product Features and Specification Release Date March 2023 Extra Insights ViserMark tests are performed with the strictest protocol in a controlled environment to ensure repetition and consistency. • Samsung S20+ 5G ViserMark Battery Life

Battery Life Testing Report Product Experience 1.5 days of use with a battery capacity of 4500 mAh. Product Features and Specifications Design: · Slim, compact and premium, immersive display Camera:  QUAD 12MP Main Camera Battery:  2 days of use/ 4500mAh Display: 6.7" QHD Size: 161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8 mm Weight: 186g Memory: 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM Chipset: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 865 Samsung S20+ 5G - Success Metrics Introduction S models from Samsung are one of the most successful and always-awaited smartphone series. Within the 2020 S20 range, the Samsung S20+ 5G is a very good trade-off as it keeps a compact format while integrating a 4500 mAh high-capacity battery. Flagship competition has never been so tough for the S series and end users have high expectations for battery life as this is one key area where customers are unlikely ready to compromise. Of course, this new S20+ model is bringing a full set of innovations, especially around the display which is now offering a 120Hz refresh rate. To stay in the race of performance brand new chipsets are integrated as well and as usual Samsung is duplicating proposals depending on markets: Qualcomm 865 and Exynos 990. For this test, we have selected Qualcomm 865 to compare with rivals equipped with the same processor. We are preparing a dedicated test to compare 2 identical devices from Samsung but powered by different chipsets. But let’s how the selected S20+ configuration behaves on viSerMark protocol, with a 4500 mAh battery we have high expectations. Testing Results First of all, when testing such kind of devices with multiple parameters that have a direct impact on battery life you need to make some choices: which resolution should we use? Which refresh rate should be selected? One advantage of S20+ is to give end users a wide range of choices: resolution from HD+ to Quad HD+, 60 or 120 Hz refresh rate. No other phone allows you to balance as much as S20+ between battery life and screen fluidity. This is a true good point, however, we think that most end users will not too much about those settings details and this keeps interesting for tech users. At ViserMark we use default resolution and we always test the different refresh rate settings as this is a key marketing item. When we started the S20+ we noticed that the default refresh rate was set to 60Hz by default. It sounds like Samsung is not very confident in getting a good battery life while using a 120Hz refresh rate. We also noticed that battery saver mode is rather aggressive while reaching the 5% level. When testing with FHD+/60Hz configuration S20+ can reach 2 2-day ViserMark score, without any merging ending the second day with 4% remaining levels, so in the range of battery saver activation. This is the minimum that we were expecting from a flagship. When turning on the 120Hz refresh rate then unsurprisingly achieves a lower score, 120Hz refresh rate will not dramatically drive down battery life but S20+ fails to achieve 2 days ViserMark score in this configuration. End Users who would try changing this setting will undoubtedly notice the difference in battery life performance and will surely not feel very comfortable if trying to run a full second day without charging. Test Graphic We can easily notice the impact of refresh rate on battery life between 120Hz and 60Hz. Conclusion To conclude, Samsung S20+ offers a full set of premium features and performance. However, on the Battery Life side, we were expecting more from its 4500 mAh battery and overall viSerMark score is good but not excellent. ViserMark tests are performed with the strictest protocol in a controlled environment to ensure repetition and consistency powered and automated by SmartViser’s test automation solution viSer. The automation test includes a variety of user actions from calls to social media and periods of standby times. • Here's What You Need to Know! Highlights from the "Wonderlust" Apple Event 2023

Wonderlust Apple Event - Latest and Greatest: 2023 Products Revealed! Every year, tech enthusiasts eagerly await Apple's latest unveilings, and the Wonderlust Apple Event was no exception. With a lineup of innovations, design overhauls, and remarkable leaps in performance, Apple once again showcased its commitment to pushing the boundaries. Dive in as we break down the most awaited announcements and what they mean for consumers and the tech industry. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus: Apple's standard iPhone continues to impress while maintaining its $799 starting price. Many features introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro have made their way into this version. Processor & Performance: As expected, the iPhone 15 is powered by the A16 Bionic chipset, previously exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro. This chip ensures speedy performance, seamless multitasking, and efficient battery usage. Display & Design: One of the most notable design changes is the Dynamic Island cutout, replacing the previous notch on the front display. This brings a more immersive experience to users. Also, for the first time in the iPhone series, Apple has transitioned from the Lightning port to incorporating a USB-C port for faster data transfer and universal compatibility. Camera Capabilities: The camera has significantly upgraded, boasting a 48MP main sensor. This allows users to shoot in full 48MP resolution or use a technique that combines four pixels into one for a 24MP shot, balancing detail and light capture. With the redesigned camera system, users can utilise a 2x telephoto option without a dedicated zoom lens. Furthermore, enhancements in Portrait mode enable users to shift the focus of shots post-capture, and improvements to Night mode and Smart HDR promise brighter highlights and better colour accuracy. Audio & Connectivity: Apple has improved audio clarity with a more advanced machine learning model. This prioritizes the user's voice on phone calls, offering a voice isolation feature for clearer conversations. Including a second-gen Ultra Wideband chip enhances connectivity, allowing the device to connect with other UW devices from a greater distance. Other Features: The iPhone 15 series also sees improvements in Portrait mode, Night mode, and Smart HDR, ensuring Apple remains competitive in the camera department. To complement the camera, the display has been enhanced to be brighter than the iPhone 14 models, offering a more vivid visual experience. A Look Back: The iPhone 14 series is worth noting for those contemplating an upgrade. Following the introduction of the iPhone 15, the iPhone 14's price dropped, making it a budget-friendly alternative at $699/$799 for the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Plus. Additionally, for those looking to save even more, the iPhone 13 is available at a reduced price of $599. However, it's important to remember that the iPhone 13 mini is no longer available directly from the Apple Store. USB-C Transition: The move to USB-C is not just a technical upgrade; it's also a nod to the incoming EU regulations. While it does mean faster charging and data transfer speeds, it also signifies the obsolescence of Lightning accessories without adapters. Comparative Analysis: At first glance, the iPhone 15 may seem like a slightly enhanced version of the iPhone 14 Pro, but there's more than meets the eye. There are numerous reasons to consider this upgrade, from the sharp 48MP camera and the Dynamic Island feature to the USB-C charging capability and the powerful A16 Bionic chip. However, like all products, weighing the pros and cons before deciding is essential. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max: The Pro series showcases the pinnacle of Apple's engineering and design, with groundbreaking features that cater to enthusiasts and professionals. Processor & Performance: The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max sport the latest A16 Bionic chipset, offering faster graphics and CPU performance than any iPhone. These phones promise smooth operations, even when handling the most demanding apps and games. Display & Design: The Pro models now have the new Super Retina XDR display, boasting an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth scrolling and animations. Additionally, Apple introduced the groundbreaking Dynamic Island, which eliminates the conventional notch design, providing users with an uninterrupted visual experience. Camera Capabilities: A massive leap in the camera department, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max offer a Triple-Camera system. The main 108MP sensor delivers stunning detail, and the new macro photography mode is a game-changer, allowing users to capture minute details from close distances. Apple's ProRAW format gets an upgrade, and now photographers can record in ProRes video format for even more post-production flexibility. Battery Life: A key highlight this year, the Pro series comes with a larger battery. Coupled with the efficiency of the A16 chip, the iPhone 15 Pro promises a full day of use, while the Pro Max extends this even further. Audio & Connectivity: Apple has enhanced the audio experience with spatial audio support. The second-gen Ultra Wideband chip improves device tracking and boosts connectivity capabilities, allowing for faster AirDrop transfers and more accurate AirTag tracking. Materials & Durability: The Pro series uses Ceramic Shield, ensuring the phones are tougher than any glass found in mobile devices. It's also more resistant to scratches and everyday wear and tear. Price & Storage: With its myriad features, the iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999, while the Pro Max version starts at $1,099. Both phones come with storage options up to 2TB for the first time, catering to users needing vast space for their media and files. Comparative Analysis: When compared to the standard iPhone 15 series, the Pro models target the upper echelon of users who demand the very best in terms of performance, camera quality, and features. If budget permits, these are the iPhones that deliver the best that Apple has to offer in 2023. Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2 content Apple Watch Series 9: The Apple Watch continues symbolising utility and style, with Series 9 pushing the boundaries of what's possible in wearable tech. Design & Display: The Apple Watch Series 9 sports a refined design with softer edges and a more ergonomic profile. The Always-On Retina display is 20% larger than its predecessor, making it easier to view notifications and apps. The watch now comes in an all-new Liquid Metal finish, a testament to Apple's commitment to innovation in materials. Performance: Driven by the S7 chip, the Series 9 offers a 30% speed boost compared to the Series 8. This ensures apps launch faster, and there's almost no lag when navigating the watchOS. Health & Fitness Features: Building on its legacy, the Series 9 introduces three new health metrics – Oxygen Saturation (SpO2), Sleep Apnea Detection, and Hydration Tracking. Whether you're an athlete or just health-conscious, these features are designed to give you a deeper insight into your well-being. The new Fitness+ integration also offers guided workouts and real-time feedback, ensuring you get the most out of your exercise routine. Battery Life: One of the standout improvements is that the Series 9 watch offers 48 hours of battery life, ensuring you're connected for two full days without recharging. Connectivity & Software: With watchOS 9, users can expect a smoother experience, thanks to improved handoff between the watch and iPhone. The Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip enhances the Watch's connectivity range and can now be used as a car key for compatible vehicles. Safety & Emergency Features: The Fall Detection feature has been refined, making it more accurate. The Series 9 also introduces "Safe Zone", which alerts loved ones if you enter or leave a predefined area, which can be especially beneficial for seniors or those with specific medical conditions. Price & Variants: The Apple Watch Series 9 starts at $399. It's available in multiple finishes, including the classic aluminium, stainless steel, and the new Liquid Metal. The Titanium and Ceramic finishes are exclusive to the more premium models. Comparative Analysis: Compared to its predecessors, the Apple Watch Series 9 and the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 offer significant advancements in health tracking, performance, and battery life. It's not just a watch; it's a comprehensive health and communication device wrapped around your wrist. Special Mentions Apple's 2023 event wasn't just about the flagship products; several exciting announcements and showcases left an impression. Here are the highlights: Apple Glass: After much anticipation, Apple finally gave a sneak peek into their augmented reality (AR) glasses. Sleek, stylish, and with AR capabilities integrated seamlessly, the Apple Glass promises to redefine how we interact with the digital world. Magsafe 3.0: Apple has upgraded its magnetic attachment system, ensuring faster wireless charging and more secure attachments for various accessories. Apple Studio: For the creatives, Apple introduced a new platform called "Apple Studio", aiming to be a one-stop-shop for content creators. It offers tools for video editing, music production, and graphic design, all optimized for Apple hardware. Environmental Initiatives: Apple continues its commitment to being carbon neutral. A significant announcement was their new recycling program, which aims to repurpose 90% of the materials from old Apple products. The company also showcased its new headquarters powered entirely by renewable energy. iOS 17: The latest iteration of Apple's operating system promises smoother multitasking, enhanced privacy features, and a suite of new emojis. The integration between Apple devices is also tighter, creating a more seamless user experience. Apple Arcade Expansion: The Apple Arcade gaming subscription service is set to receive 20+ new exclusive titles this year. Apple also announced partnerships with several indie developers, hinting at an even richer gaming ecosystem in the future. Collaborations: Apple announced its collaboration with renowned artists and creators. • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 - Smartphone Battery Performance

SMARTPHONE TIER: FLAGSHIP/PRO Battery Capacity mAh: 4400 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 - Transform Your Smartphone into a Tablet-Sized Canvas Smartphone Battery Performance Score: 45/100 Overall Battery Performance Ranking: #76 Based on Price Flagship/Pro Tier Ranking: #4 All you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 smartphone. Quick Summary The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 has an updated design that builds on its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. It offers significant enhancements, including an aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover, creating a sleek and premium feel, and the phone can now fold flat, resulting in a thinner and lighter profile when folded. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 maintains familiar button and port placements, including a USB-C port, speaker grills, microphones, and a physical SIM slot, ensuring convenience for users. For security, users can choose between facial recognition and a fingerprint reader. The design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 is distinctive and may or may not be convenient to carry in pockets or purses, depending on their size and shape. When folded, it is relatively small and can fit into many pockets, particularly those with extra space. However, it becomes considerably wider when opened up, making it difficult to fit a mini tablet into a pocket. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 Overview What's it like to Use? The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 improves on the previous version by eliminating the unattractive V-shaped gap when closed, resulting in a seamless exterior design. It is built with a sturdy Armor aluminium frame and Victus glass exterior, making it highly durable. However, the external 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED display lacks S-Pen support, and the camera technology remains largely unchanged, relying on upgrade enhancements from the new Snapdragon chipset. The battery life is consistent with the previous model. Although the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 addresses previous shortcomings, it feels like a minor upgrade, focusing on refining existing features and design elements. With a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen inside the fold, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 has an appreciated 120Hz high refresh rate. This display boasts a brightness of 1,750 nits, a 30% improvement over its predecessor, making it suitable for outdoor use. This smartphone offers vibrant colours, wide viewing angles, and better colour accuracy than the front display, though a noticeable crease remains, particularly in direct sunlight. How does it Perform? The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 features two distinct displays. The front screen is a 6.2-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering clear visuals and smooth scrolling. However, its 23.1:9 aspect ratio might feel narrow for certain tasks, and it has a brightness of 703 nits, lower than some competitors. The colour accuracy is also slightly inferior. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and has an enhanced storage capacity, ensuring fast and high-performance processing. Its 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable display provides a vivid visual experience with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It also features a discreet under-display 4MP camera and is compatible with the S-Pen. The small black box has a mini version of the handset, matching the colour of the real one inside. What's in the box? Mobile Phone USB-C charging cable SIM ejector tool Quick Start Guide Should I buy the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5? Being a Flagship/Pro Tier foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 has unique folding and powerful software. It's versatile with the S-Pen Slim Case water resistance, excellent displays, strong performance, and a decent camera setup. Faster charging would be nice, but it still offers reliable battery life. Samsung's timely updates enhance the user experience. If you value multitasking and innovative software, it's a compelling choice, considering the limited competition. However, it's a modest upgrade from the Fold4, with room for charging speed and ultrawide camera improvement. Design-wise, it may not stand out. Budget-conscious buyers can consider the similar Fold4. Ultimately, your choice depends on prioritizing software features and multitasking over hardware upgrades.
