OPPO A5 2020* & OPPO A9 2020* have recently landed in our lab and our team has been very excited to go through the ViserMark battery life scoring testing protocol on those two products.

 

A5 & A9 2020 target a very competitive market segment (200 -250 Euros in Europe) and OPPO has very high expectations of them as their technical specification should perfectly match customer's expectations of this product range.

 

First of all,  A5 & A9 are powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 665 chipset which is offering good performance and an overall balanced user experience. This interesting configuration is completed with an HD+ screen and a massive 5000 mAh battery to maintain good performance for a longer period of time. The main difference between A5 & A9 2020 is on the camera side we expect both products to offer similar good battery life.

 

This is what our battery life measurement protocol has indeed confirmed. Our scenario which is regularly stimulating the devices with a mix of standard usage has been steadily running for more than 2.5 days.   A total of 4 products have been tested and they all performed our protocol during the almost exactly same total duration, which is very impressive and shows how much the overall products are very well optimised.
