Having already tested the Battery Performance of previous Apple iPhones, we take a closer look at the Apple iPhone 14.
Apple has announced their latest devices iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus launching on the 16th of September and 7th of October respectively, keeping with their tradition of promoting their latest devices in September for the October launch. It seems that Apple went all big this time with no replacement for the Mini versions.

At first glance, the devices externally look like their predecessor iPhone 13 featuring flat edges and an aluminium cover with a glass back. In terms of pricing no major hikes there. The iPhone 14 will set you back £849 while the iPhone 14 Plus £949. The iPhone 14 Pro version is around £1,099.
One of the major changes for the US market is the eSim capability. Devices shipped in the US will no longer have a physical SIM slot. For Europe, we will still get the physical SIM slot.

We do see main changes in battery life, and this is one of the main focus points of Apple marketing. The iPhone 14 promises a longer battery than all previous models. Apple has been very good at optimising battery life and performance.
The iPhone 13 Pro has scored very highly in our battery performance testing. It obtained a ViserMark Battery Life of 2 Days of Use, impressive with a small battery capacity of 3100mAh.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has lasted an impressive 3.5 Days of Use when assessed for ViserMark Battery Life within our strict testing protocol.
What Apple is managing very well is the Energy Efficiency of the devices.
The iPhone 13 Pro was given a Visermark rating of 2.5 out of 5 for Energy Efficiency.
The iPhone13 Pro Max increased its Visermark Energy Efficiency rating to 3.5. This was the highest Energy Efficiency rating record from our test results so far.
