The Smartphone final rankings can be seen below:
The Results are In!
As you can see from the graph above only 2 Smartphones achieve a score higher than 200, meaning that only Huawei P40 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro are ranked having a ViserMark of 2 days. Even if other Smartphones were not quite up to the 2 days of usage requirement they all ranked with 1.5 days. Interestingly, during our Pro battle analysis, we discovered two positive surprises and two negative ones that will be a key influencer especially if you are considering buying a Samsung device from the S20 range. Spoiler alert, the Chipset type:
Samsung S20+ is on the podium almost reaching two days thanks to the snapdragon power efficiency.
Lightweight Pixel 4 XL stays in the competition with flagships from a battery life standpoint
On the other end:
Samsung S20 Ultra powered with Exynos struggles to offer acceptable battery life although integrating 5000 mAh battery. But its Exynos chipset has to power a wide 6.9’’ screen
Sony Xperia 1 (Mark 2) hardly achieves 1.5 days and has the lowest score in our battle. Battery capacity and overall efficiency are lower than the competition. We also have noticed during our testing that Sony is reaching slightly higher temperatures during intensive usage sessions.
And the Winner is?
The Smartphone with the longest life is the Huawei P40 Pro. It’s the winner of ViserMark battery life performance Smartphone reviews so far in 2020 in the pro/flagship segment. With its great capability to operate more than 2 days on a single charge, which is quite impressive for a Pro device. The Xiaomi M10 Pro achieves almost the same performance falling short of only 6 points in the score. (Huawei P40 Pro achieved 211 and Xiaomi MP10 achieved 205) . Both Huawei P40 Pro and Xiaomi M10 will fully satisfy end users who are looking for a premium device without compromising the Smartphone battery life.
With the exception of the Huawei P40 Pro and Xiaomi M10 Pro, all the other Smartphones were good battle contenders, by comfortably achieving 1.5 Days of battery life. Samsung S20 Ultra and Sony Xperia 1 (Mark 2) only just reached 1.5 Days meaning you may need to keep an eye on the battery life especially on days that you are looking.
