Features and how it compares with its predecessors Google Pixel 6:

We are looking forward to receiving the Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro in our testing labs very soon to check the battery performance. The battery in the Pixel 7 has increased measuring 5000mAh on the Pixel 7 Pro and 4355 mAh on the Pixel 7.

Reviewing the Google Pixel 6 Battery Performance

The Battery Performance Label shows a score between 0 and 100. It reflects the performance based on independent, repeatable, and rigorous testing. Using various testing criteria, measured using real-life scenarios and live networks, results are collated with calculations from Battery Life, Power Efficiency and Charging results that amount to the total score.

The Google Pixel 6 obtained a Battery performance score of 42 out of 100. When reviewed

this smartphone was ranked #14 in the High Tier (€500-€699) table.

The Google Pixel 6 has a 4614 mAh battery capacity, slightly smaller than the 5003 mAh of the Google Pixel 6 Pro. The Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are the first smartphones to be released equipped with Android 12, the new Google interface.

During testing, we are able to calculate both the power and efficiency of a smartphone.

BATTERY LIFE

The Google Pixel 6 scored well in our battery performance testing. It obtained a ViserMark Battery Life of 1.5 Days of Use.

CHARGING TIME

The charging time to 100% was 1 hour 47 minutes. Fast charging is available.

POWER EFFICIENCY

The Google Pixel 6 obtained an overall Power Efficiency Rating of 1

Power Efficiency is calculated using Battery Life and Battery Capacity. This is expressed in “Leaves" and reflects a rating between 1 being the least and 5 being the most power-efficient.

ViserMark is very much looking forward to completing the Battery Performance testing on the newly announced Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphones.

  • Despite the excellent camera quality, will the battery performance score increase?

  • Will the Google Pixel 7 achieve greater Power Efficiency - better than before?

  • Will the charging be faster, an improvement on the Google Pixel 6?

Here at ViserMark, we will be keen to share with you our Battery Performance test results for the Google Pixel 7 as soon as we have them available. In the meantime, take a look at our latest independent smartphone reviews and scores.
