With a price of around 300 EURO, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is classed by us as a
mid tier smartphone within the ViserMark ranking classification (smartphones priced between 200-500 EURO). The Qualcomm SM7150 Snapdragon 732G processor is the heart of the smartphone, giving all the main features, except one 5G connectivity. To complete the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, it has a 5020mAh battery as chosen by Xiaomi, with large enough battery capacity to assure enough autonomy.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro smartphone has a battery life autonomy of around 52 hours when tested using our ViserMark test protocol. It has a 60 Hz refreshing rate and obtained a Battery Life and Performance score of 205, respectively. The average ViserMark score of mid tier smartphones is “208”, positioning the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro smartphone in the middle part of the ViserMark raking table.
The charging time was 1 hour and 17 minutes with the 33W fast charge option, Xiaomi advertised 59% in 30 mins charging time.
Figure 1. Battery test at 90 Hz
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro achieved a score of 205. This positions this smartphone behind other mid tier smartphones like the Oppo Reno 4 5G (208), the Xiaomi Samsung M31 (266). During our testing and analysing our findings, we compared the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro performance with other mid tier smartphones also of similar battery size. Unfortunately, our results positioned this smartphone in the last position of our Battery Life and Performance mid tier ranking. Having only a score of 205 is considerably lower in performance than other smartphones like the Wiko View 5 Plus (386), Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro (285), Oppo A9 2020 (281). In conclusion, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Battery Life and Performance test results are far from our expectations. So, Xiaomi has a lot to aim for in 2021 to improve battery life autonomy for forthcoming smartphones.
ViserMark tests are performed with the strictest protocol in a controlled environment to ensure repetition and consistency powered and automated by SmartViser’s test automation solution viSer.
