to help Smartphone users.

Our battery test results for the OPPO A76 have been translated

into the ViserMark Labels displayed below.

Let’s look at the review by ViserMark based on the results during testing.

Smartphone Battery Performance Overall Score:

The Battery Performance Label shows a score between 0 and 100. It reflects the performance based on independent, repeatable, and rigorous testing.

Using various testing criteria, measured using real-life scenarios and live networks, results are collated with calculations from Battery Life, Power Efficiency and Charging results that amount to the total score.

The OPPO A76 was positioned in the Mid Tier (€200-€499) based on price. With a score of 61 out of 100 obtained for battery performance, it achieved a place in the Top 5 Best Battery Performance Scores for 2021 - 2022. It narrowly missed the Realme 7i and Wiko Power U20, both Entry Tier (€0-€199) smartphones and the Samsung M51 a Mid Tier (€200-€499), all with scores of 62 out of 100.

When looking closer at the Mid Tier (€200-€499) the Samsung M51 leads the ranking table with its battery performance score of 62 out of 100. The OPPO A76 follows with 61 out of 100, just ahead of the Realme 8 Pro.

Comparison of SmartPhones in the Mid Tier

These 3 smartphones hold the top 3 places in the rankings within this tier, the Samsung M51 having a mightly battery capacity of 7000mAh, followed by the OPPO A76 with a more normal battery capacity of 5000mAh and the Realme 8 Pro with a smaller one of 4500mAh.

Battery Life

Battery Life - How long will this Smartphone battery last?

This is expressed in “Days-of-Use” and reflects the time in days that a smartphone can be used from a full charge.

Looking into the battery performance results in further detail, in the graph below it is clear to see the results for Battery Life ratings. From a fully charged battery, the comparative smartphones provide between 2 days to 2.5 days of battery life when being used for general daily usage.

Comparison of SmartPhones in the Mid Tier

Again it is not surprising to see the Samsung M51 at the top of this chart, with its huge battery capacity, achieving an impressive 3.5 days of use. Both the OPPO A76 and Realme 8 Pro achieve 1 day less on much smaller battery capacities.

Charging Times

Battery Charging Time - How long will this Smartphone take to charge?

Time varies to charge different types and sizes of Smartphone batteries. This is expressed in Hours and Minutes.

We test the charging times of every device as part of our testing protocol. The OPPO A76 didn't disappoint, delivering a fast charge of 1 hour and 11 minutes, faster than the Samsung M51. However, the quickest charging time belongs to that of the Realme 8 Pro as presented in the chart below.

Comparison of SmartPhones in the Mid Tier

More Charging Times can be viewed in the Charging Times table

Power Efficiency

Power Efficiency - How power efficient is this Smartphone?

Maximising the smartphone performance while reducing the amount of energy it consumes, with minimal impact on battery life.

It is calculated using Battery Life and Battery Capacity. This is expressed in “Leaves" and reflects a rating between 1 being the least and 5 being the most power efficient.

Surprisingly, the Samsung M51 has a slightly lower power efficiency result. Both the Realme 8 Pro and the OPPO A76 share a power efficiency rating of 2 out of 5.

Comparison of SmartPhones in the Mid Tier

The most battery-efficient smartphones will provide good battery life and reduce the number of times the battery will need to be charged which harms its longevity.

Should I buy it?

OPPO has delivered a stylish and well-designed phone that looks and is pleasurable to use. The smartphone has no waterproof certification and is not 5G compatible although it does come with a 90 Hz screen, which can be considered a bonus.

The OPPO A76 is fast at charging, has long battery life and is affordable, therefore a suitable smartphone for daily usage. Although it may fall short in some features, including some camera limitations, this phone offers a solid and reliable overall performance.
