We have listed what you need to know about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro.

Overview

As a follow-up to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro released in 2021, the Redmi Note 11 Pro now offers 5G over its predecessor with a few other minor tweaks. The smartphone is similar in size but slightly heavier, with a sleek design.

Using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, it is a more powerful mobile phone yet more restricted in its capabilities; one such example is that it can only support display resolutions up to 1080p. However, it has a great 120Hz display that is finished with a glass back frosted surface, which, while it does a great job of resisting fingerprints, is nonetheless marked after a few minutes of use by the natural grease from our palms.

Numerous popular features are included in the Redmi Note 11 Pro, including stereo speakers, a microSD expansion slot, FM radio, a 3.5mm audio connector, NFC, and even an IR blaster and an overview solid battery performance.

Like the other Redmi Note 11 devices, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro runs Android 11 and the most recent MIUI 13 version, which has significant internal upgrades that provide a better and quicker experience both now and over the course of the next few years, thanks to numerous improvements.

According to reports, the new update prioritizes significantly better resource allocation and should handle processor, RAM, and storage utilization better and more intelligently. The goal of MIUI 13 is to monitor how much RAM and processor are being used at any one time and suspend any superfluous processes to free up resources and improve performance.

Xiaomi states that background process optimization will rise by up to 40% versus the earlier version. The power management improvement carried out within MIUI's core should result in a 10% reduction in power usage compared to MIUI 12's.

With no major improvements to report, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro is an affordable mobile phone, classified within the ViserMark Mid Tier (€200-€499). It competes closely with the HONOR 50 and Realme GT2 when comparing battery performance, as shown in the chart below.

All smartphones use energy, and although it is only a small amount, each smartphone varies in its consumption.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro is calculated to use 3.2 kWh per Annum taken from the ViserMark Battery Performance testing. For the first time, end-users will be able to see an objective benchmark across all devices on the expected annual electricity consumption their device is expected to make.

Should I buy it?

The Redmi Note 11 Pro offers good value for money within the Mid Tier, especially competing against well-known such as OPPO and Samsung. Although, compared to the Redmi Note 10 Pro, little progress has been made, and camera performance is now lacking.

This mobile phone still provides adequate features and specifications when considered against other Mid Tier options.
