The graph shown below shows the Charging Times as well as the battery Days of Usage. As you can see the Redmi Note 11S and the OnePlus Nord CE have the same performance results for both Charging Times of 53 minutes and 2 Days of Usage. The Realme 8 Pro still achieves better Days of Usage with 2.5 days, despite having a slightly slower Charge Time of 55 minutes, while the quickest charging times are often hampered with lower Days of usage, as shown with the OnePlus Nord 2. The Redmi Note 11S does offer 33W fast charging and is shipped with a power adapter, so you can charge it straight away. These are highlighted in green. The Redmi Note 11S does achieve 1.0, as many of the Mid Tier smartphones as a Rating for Power Efficiency. What is interesting to see, is the contrast between Charging Times and Days of Use. From the graph shown above the Redmi Note 11S can perform considerably well, with 2 Days of Usage as well as a fast-charging time of 53 minutes. However, its predecessor the Redmi Note 10 matches both Days of Usage and Power Efficiency, the Charging Time was 1 hour and 17 minutes. Therefore, to conclude Xiaomi smartphones, have made developments in design and performance as shown with the Redmi Note 11S. Although only maintaining, not improving Days of Usage and Power Efficiency, a much quicker charging time has been delivered. Should I buy it? In conclusion, the Redmi Note 11S is a good smartphone, with excellent battery capacity. Although perhaps a little overpriced, when compared to other Mid Tier smartphones, the Poco F3 provides the same offering with 49/100 Battery Score Performance, slightly slower Charging Times, yet less expensive. Within the Mid Tier area, smartphones find it difficult to stand out above the rest, the Redmi Note 11S has seen improved Charging Times but has lacked to develop Days of Usage to be able to be competitive with several other Mid Tier smartphones that are regularly achieving 2 plus Days of Uasge. • Honor 50 - Battery Performance Score

SMARTPHONE TIER: MID Battery Capacity mAh: 4300 Welcome Back Honor! Smartphone Battery Performance Overall Score: 54/100 Overall Battery Performance Score: Ranking #11 Mid Tier Ranking: Ranking #4 We have listed what you need to know about the Honor 50. Honor 50, we take a look at the main features as well as the battery performance. Our test results have been translated into ViserMark Labels designed to help you make an informed decision when selecting a smartphone. Smartphone Battery Performance Score and Battery Performance Results Smartphone Battery Performance Overall Score: 54/100 The Honor 50 ranks considerable well compared to other smartphones with a Battery Performance Score of 54/100. Both the Xiaomi Redmi 9T 5G with a score of 55 and Realme 8 Pro with 59, remain only slightly above the Honor 50. These smartphones have larger battery capacity, as do the Nokia G10 and the OnePlus Nord CE which have lower performance scores than that of the Honor 50, as shown within the table below. All the Battery Performance Scores can be seen in the Smartphone Ranking 2021 table. Mid Tier Ranking Table: Ranking #4 Being ranked #4 in the Mid Tier Ranking table, the Honor 50 is competitive with other smartphones, all being from Xiaomi. The Honor 50 achieved the same battery performance score as the Xiaomi Pocophone F2 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 10T, although having only 4300mAh battery capacity slightly less than both the other Xiaomi smartphones. Battery Performance Testing and Review - March 2022 Product - Good Points Honor as a smartphone manufacturer has stepped back into the smartphone marketplace once more, after deciding to have a year away from selling smartphones in Europe. Introducing the Honor 50, it uses Google Mobile Services to enable Android apps to be used easily. Although not a flagship smartphone, it has made an impact within this very competitive Mid Tier. It offers impressive dual-ring design aesthetics, dual-texture dual-film and dual-coating technology... making it 'Sparkle like Diamonds'. It has been designed with curved displays, similar to expensive flagships like the OnePlus 9 Pro or Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, so has an impressive appearance. Being the first Honor smartphone to have a 108MP6 ultra-clear camera, it also supports a 32MP Camera, ideal for Multi-video recording The Honor 50 offers a loudspeaker and 66W SuperCharge, using a single-cell dual-loop design. This helps to reduce impedance and heat, increasing the equivalent capacity of the battery, allowing an extended battery life. So claiming a 70% charge in 20 minutes and 100% charged in 45 minutes. Not bad for a battery capacity of 4300mAH! Product - Be Aware of Points There is a loudspeaker, although no mention of additional screen protection, so we can assume that there is no Gorilla Glass on the screen. This smartphone has a good camera, although it does have 2 rear cameras that may not be used or even required. Also, just for reference, a headphone jack is not included. Product Features and Specification Release Date October 2021 Let’s have a look at the review by ViserMark based on the results during testing. You can find the full results of our battery performance testing below: Overall Battery Performance With an average price, of just over 359 EURO, the Honor 50 is classed as a Mid Tier smartphone and well equipped with the desired features of the Flagship/Pro smartphones. It is powered by a Qualcomm SM7325 Snapdragon 778G 5G processor and offers the benefits of WLAN and NFC enabled. In our testing, Honor 50 achieved the following test results: Battery Performance Score – 54 out of 100 The overall Battery Performance Score is now a global score taking calculations from Battery Life, Power Efficiency and Charging Times. Based on the battery performance testing results, this smartphone received a ViserMark score of 54/100. With this score, the Honor 50 smartphone is ranked #11 and has an impressive performance score, and only just outside of the overall top 10 smartphones tested, as seen in the ViserMark Smartphone Ranking 2021/22 table. When looking at the Honor 50 within the Mid Tier, it has reached into the 50s with its performance score, even with its lower battery capacity. Only a place above with a score of 55, is the Xiaomi Redmi 9T 5G. Although the Honor 50 can compete on performance scores, its Days of Usage are still lacking by 0.5 days. When looking at Power Efficiency the same is reflected here as well. BATTERY LIFE - Days of Use Based on the ViserMark test protocol, the Honor 50 achieved a score of 2 days. The Average Day of Use ViserMark score of a Mid Tier smartphone is “1.9” Day of Use which places the Honor 50 just above the average and towards the top half of the Day of Usage table and gains a ranking of #34 for overall smartphone Day of Usage score. The best smartphones have a lifespan of 4 days as shown in the table below. You can see that there is a range of manufacturers trying to achieve the Wiko Power U20 4 Days of Usage - it remains ranked #1. The Honor 50 joins many Mid Tier smartphones that have managed to reach 2 Days of Usage and joins a very competitive area of the Mid Tier, as highlighted below. The Honor 5 does offer a dependable battery life, although there are more powerful alternatives, therefore is well-positioned in ranking order of #34 in Days of Usage. CHARGING TIME – Hours and Minutes CHARGING TIME - Hours and Minutes The charging time to 100% was just 49 minutes. 66W SuperCharge is available. The Honor 50 finds well amongst the top ten fastest charging smartphones tested so far, as seen in the Charge Times Ranking table. Having reached the under 1-hour charging barrier, it joins many of the OnePlus and Oppo smartphone manufacturers, all offering some very impressive and extremely fast charging times. The Honor gained an overall ranking of #9, a good performance, especially for its lower battery capacity of 4300mAh. The average Charging Time is 1:39 for a Smartphone within the ViserMark Mid Tier. The Honor 50 storms through with 0.49 minutes of charging time, matching that of the Oppo Reno 4 5G and just nudging ahead of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro. This graph shows the charging times as well as the battery Days of Usage. As you can see the Oppo Reno 4 5G and the Honor 50 have the same performance results for both charging times and 2 Days of Usage. Both the Xiamoi smartphones remain in touch achieving 2 Days of Usage, despite having longer charging times. The Honor 5 does offer an impressive 66W SuperCharge, although there are faster charging times achieved, it does compete well being ranked #9 and making an entrance into our Charging Times Table Top Ten. POWER EFFICIENCY – 5 Leaf Rating There are several power-efficient processors, within today's smartphones, that can cope with the growing number of new applications and can support high-resolution displays without compromising battery life. Power Efficiency is calculated using Battery Life and Battery Capacity. This is expressed in “Leaves", reflecting a rating between 1 being the least and 5 being the most power-efficient. The Honor 50 obtained an overall Power Efficiency Score of 1.5. The average score for a Mid Tier smartphone is 1.6, meaning the Honor 50 is just below the average in our power efficiency ViserMark Power Efficiency ranking table. From the table shown below, we have taken the previous graph showing the Mid Tier performance results of Charging Times and Days of Usage and now introduce the Power Efficiency results. These are highlighted in green. The Honor 5 does achieve 1.5 as a Rating for Power Efficiency. It can compete with the Xiaomi smartphones, which both have 1.5 ratings for Power Efficiency as well. The Oppo Rene 4 5G gains better results for Power Efficiency by reaching a 2 rating, matching both Xiaomi Redmi smartphones. Should I buy it? In conclusion, the Honor 50 offers many good features and for the battery capacity that it has it achieves a lot. It has one of the brightest OLED panels and a decent camera for good quality pictures. With a dependable battery and a bonus feature of a 66W SuperCharge, it supports Google Mobile Services and comes 5G enabled as well. Within the Mid Tier area, smartphones find it difficult to stand out above the rest, the Honor 50 could be just one of them, almost exceptional until it gets beaten yet again by a newer, faster or more powerful entry. This smartphone may well be your first choice if prices begin to reduce, giving you more for your money, than the functionality you need. • Motorola Edge ViserMark Battery Life

Battery Life Testing Report Product Experience 1.5 days of  energy with a battery capacity of 4500mAh. Ultra Powerful 5G performance driven by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 765 processor. Snapdragon™ 765 processor, Product Features and Specifications Design: Endless Edge display Camera:  Triple 64MP main camera Battery:  1.5 days of use/ 3700mAh Display: 6.7" FHD + wrapping around nearly 90 degrees both sides Size: 161.64 x 71.1 x 9.29 mm Weight: 188g Memory: 128GB and 6GB RAM Processor: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 765 octa-core processor Operating System: Android 10 Success Metrics Introduction We got very interesting device from Motorola here. While few brands are trying to offer some flagship killers Motorola has introduced some flagship challengers. Basically recipe is almost the same, premium set of component with a slight difference, the choice of processor. Motorola considers that mid high end processor should deliver excellent user experience. Motorola Edge is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 instead of 865 integrated in most of flagships. Motorola is surely right here, and for mostly all daily usages this Snapdragon 765 should be very capable. Motorola has chosen a 4500 mAh to power its originally designed device and we expect this device to achieve a better performance than flagships that would give it a competitive advantage. Testing Results Motorola Edge gives capability to choose between better battery life or better fluidity switching screen refresh rate from 60Hz to 90Hz. There is also an additional settings (auto 90) offering an adaptative refresh rate, in this case Moto Edge will adapt the refresh rate depending on content to be displayed. We have executed viSerMark protocol using the different settings. Well, we have started with 90Hz and 90 Auto and in both configuration Moto Edge achieved a good score, around 180 and 1.5 Days ranking. We were expecting Moto Edge to rank 2 Days when switching to 60 Hz refresh rate. We have been very surprised to obtain a lower execution time in this configuration, almost 10 hours less in this configuration! We have confirmed this with a second run showing exactly same behaviour, surely a sw issue there. Here is below summary of our testing runs. In order to compute the official score ranking we have only selected 90Hz and 90 auto refresh rates Test Graphics First graphic below shows that choosing 90 Auto instead of 90 Hz will not highly improve battery life. Second graph shows issue detected during viSerMark execution when switching refresh rate to 60 Hz (black and green curves are set at 60 Hz, while Blue is set at 90 Hz and green at 90 Auto) Conclusion Motorola Edge achieves a reserved performance. With screen settings set on best fluidity it manages to rank a good 1.5 days, we were expecting this device to score among best performance in 60 Hz. Software issue didn’t allow us to confirm. • Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro ViserMark Battery Life

Battery Life Testing Report Product Experience 2 days of  energy with an extra long-life 4700mAh. The smartphone features a futuristic design, with a Sony IMX main camera and performance boosted with Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 865 .processor, Product Features and Specifications Design: Futuristic design, Full screen display with a pop up selfie camera Camera: QUAD 64MP with Sony IMX as main Battery:  2 days of use/ 4700mAh Supports 30W Fast Charge Display: 6.67" AMOLED Size: 163.3 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm Weight: 219g Memory: 256GB and 8GB RAM Processor: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 865 flagship platform Success Metrics Introduction Poco F2 Pro from Pocophone Xiaomi group brand is known to be a flagship killer. Flagship killer means that it brings a whole set of premium components and features in a very competitive price. Poco F2 Pro spec sheet is very impressive, bringing the top notch and 2020's most powerful chipset in this price range is indeed very interesting. What we’ll verify at ViserMark is whether Pocophone matches one's high expectation of buying a flagship phone, with the premium experience without compromising the battery life. Lets find out. Testing Results Looking at Poco F2 Pro spec sheet can already give some hints that Pocophone is willing to bring an excellent battery life to end users. Indeed, while powering snapdragon 865 which delivers the best 2020 performance Pocophone integrates a massive 4700 mAh battery which has slightly bigger capacity than most of the 2020 flagships phones. In addition to that combo Poco did a very smart choice when choosing a quite standard AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate. Pocophone didn’t choose to follow the race of higher refresh rate on Poco F2 pro and we think at ViserMark that this is a very good choice to give a leading advantage to win battery life score competition versus flagship references. Poco F2 Pro did achieve the best score among flagships and flagship killers. With a score of 240 Poco F2 Pro is competing with lower spec’d phones which is very impressive. If you are a Poco F2 Pro users you will never fear lacking of battery during 2 days, don’t restrict yourself in using the incredible performance delivered by snapdragon 865, we can confirm that in terms of battery life Poco F2 Pro gives a flagship experience. Test Graphics First of all we can notice that the 2 runs gives very similar results, less than 10 minutes difference after more than 2 days of test execution, this is very impressive. Then, while finishing second day around 20% gives you the right battery safety margin. Conclusion Pocophone F2 pro delivers flagship battery life and even more. Pocophone F2 pro brings premium spec sheet and customers can use it without any fear of lacking of power. • Highlights from 2021 CES

CES the annual trade show organised the Consumer Technology Association has arrived on schedule starting on Monday the 11th of January and closing its doors on Thursday the 14th. For the first time though in its history the annual tech show went fully virtual this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. With almost 2,000 exhibitors from tech companies across the world there was nothing sort of the key innovations we are used to see at the event but this time watching from the comfort of our home. The show started with a keynote opening by Verizon’s chairman and CEO, Hans Vestberg. The keynote discussed “5G as the framework of the 21st century, the essential tech of the present and accelerated tech of the future to move our global community forward, such as telemedicine, tele-education and more.” According to Vestberg “We have leapfrogged five to seven years in terms of digital innovation". There were mainly six themes that identified at this year’s events and we can all guess some of the key ones: 5G Connectivity from smart cities, smart building to sports stadiums and much more. As Vestberg highlighted in his speech “The Verizon 5G ultra-wideband network now has 200 million users across 1,800 cities and towns in the US". Autonomous and electric vehicles with Cadillac showing off the Halo self-driving car concept among some of the hottest innovations. Display Technology advancements to help with remote working. From Dell’s new product announcements to Samsung’s super powerful 5G devices Smart City and smart homes. Again as many people spend more time at home this year there was a flurry of new tech announcements with the Kohler mood setting Japanese bath winning our vote. Virtual Reality beyond visual goggles we have now seen devices that allow users to feel and experience textures like the impressive SenseGlove Nova. Healthcare. With the pandemic in everyone’s mind there is no surprise the biggest tech advancements in this sector. From ultraviolet disinfectant robots, to smart masks and much more. In terms of devices, we were not disappointed. There were several announcements of great innovation and the one that caught our eye is the new rollable displays. There were three devices that we show glimpses at the event: LG Rollable. We had several hints in the past for a different screen technology, but this year LG showcased what it calls “a unique resizable screen” that can transform from a phone into a small tablet. TCL 6.7-inch AMOLED Rollable display. According to TCL the thickness of the device is less than 10mm and the 6.7-inch display can roll out into a device with 7.8-inch display. TCL 17-inch Printed OLED Scrolling Display. According to TCL “An engineering breakthrough has the potential to be applied to TV, curved, foldable devices as well as transparent commercial displays.” At ViserMark we performed a poll on to see how you feel about the rollable devices and 70% of you has given the technology the thump’s up ! We can’t wait to receive the devices in our lab for testing. Samsung has also held its own “unpacked event” and announced the much-anticipated Galaxy S21 which was no surprise to steal all the spotlight. The S21 Ultra hailed by Android Authority “the best of the best with Samsung’s characteristic style and an updated design.” The previous S20 series have been tested by ViserMark and most of them scored over 1.5 day of battery life. What does that mean for all of us? 2021 we will see an even increasing numbers of networks supporting 5G and the ones that have launched already will be increasing the coverage to a wider population. The number of devices that will be supporting 5G will be increasing. According to a report published by GCF (Global Certification Forum) there were over 100 5G devices and modules certified by September 2020 so we will be seeing many more in 2021. At ViserMark we will be following very closely to identify the impact of the new technology 5G in battery performance and life of smartphones. There is already some evidence that 5G may have a negative impact to the battery life to as much as 20% and we will be looking at this impact and provide you with assessments and reports in the coming months. We will be increasing the number of devices we test this year to ensure we provide you all the necessary information on what device to purchase based on battery performance.
